Al Habtoor partners with Israel's Mobileye for self-driving, smart city solutions
The safety of roads for citizens will be improved

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE-based Al Habtoor Group (AHG) has announced a strategic cooperation with Mobileye, an Israeli tech giant, to introduce mapping technologies for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to the UAE.

Through the strategic agreement, Mobileye will also deploy autonomous driving, smart city, and mobility solutions based on its autonomous vehicle (AV) technology in the UAE, according to a recent press release.

Hence, the safety of roads for citizens will be improved, and the foundation for a future driverless Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solution will be laid.

The Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, commented: "Together, we are bringing to the UAE the best of Israeli artificial intelligence. I am confident of the added value of this new technology to the comfort and safety of the drivers on the road."

The Senior Vice President at Intel Corporation and President and CEO of Mobileye, Amnon Shashua, said: "This historic collaboration between Mobileye and Al Habtoor Group presents an opportunity to transform UAE cities by accelerating smart city development and advancing transportation services with cutting edge technology."
