EGX ends Thursday in red; market cap loses EGP 3.4bn
The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.26 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note, pressured by foreign selloffs.

The benchmark EGX30 index retreated by 0.62% to 10,911 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI dropped by 0.46% to 2,000 points.

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI ended lower by 0.64% to 2,885 points, while the EGX50 EWI fell by 0.51% to 2,064 points.

The market cap value declined by EGP 3.4 billion to register EGP 616.7 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 136.39 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 107.76 million and EGP 28.63 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.26 billion after 410.05 million shares were traded through around 46,170 transactions.
