UAE - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with South Korea’s Gangnam District, to promote the bilateral trade and increase cultural and tourism exchange.

Under the agreement, the Abu Dhabi Chamber will hold Abu Dhabi-Korea Healthcare Week in cooperation with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), as the Korean district has a good healthcare sector.

During a virtual meeting, the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, said that the economic relations between the UAE and South Korea are very strong.

 Al Mheiri further remarked that this agreement is the ninth partnership signed by the Abu Dhabi Chamber with establishments and authorities in Korea.

The director general added that the Chamber continues to support businesses and ensure the UAE's economic growth despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Gangnam District, Jeong Sun Kyun, said: "We are cooperating with the Abu Dhabi Chamber through this MoU to expand our bilateral exchange in all sectors; especially that Gangnam District is home to some of the most famous entertainment brands in the world."

Kyun remarked: "Gangnam also a home to more than 2,500 healthcare establishments that attract tourists from across the globe, hence the name “Tourism Therapy Center” Gangnam is known for."
