UAE - Mubasher: The total value of the exports of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry members rose by 7.4% to more than 45 billion during the June-August period of 2020, compared to the March-May period.

In the last three months, Dubai Chamber has issued more than 151,000 Certificates of Origin, up 11.7% from 135,00 during the earlier three months, according to a press release on Sunday.

The average number of exporters increased by 14% to 4,630 in the three months ending in August from 4,066 between March and June 2020.

The President and CEO of the Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, noted that the rise in Dubai Chamber's exports in the last three months refers to the recovery in Dubai's trade sector after the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions had been lifted.

Buamim referred that the government has exerted efforts in recent years to digitally transform Dubai to ensure business continuity and maintain economic competitiveness.

In line with Dubai's digital transformation strategy, Dubai Chamber offers 50 e-services via its website and smart applications, including certificates of origin, membership, attestation, ATA Carnets, legal inquires, smart mediation, and credit rating.
