Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab purchases and foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.62% to end at 10,969 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI inched down by 0.08% to 2,022 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI added 0.12% to 2,918 points, while the EGX50 EWI fell by 0.15% to 2,068 points.

The market cap value advanced by EGP 1.58 billion to reach EGP 617.819 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 61.19 million, while local and Arab investors were net purchasers with EGP 10.66 million and EGP 50.5 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.2 billion after 440.344 million shares were exchanged through around 44,500 transactions.
