Riyadh – Mubasher: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed lower on Sunday for the second consecutive session after falling by 1.41% or 117.29 points to settle at 8,177.76 points.
The trading volume registered 496.822 million shares today, down from 712.342 million in the previous session. Likewise, the liquidity shrank to SAR 10.23 billion from SAR 14.74 billion.
The Saudi market was not stable at the end of the trading session for various reasons, such as the slumps that most international stock markets face and oil prices, particularly after the US President Donald Trump had been admitted to the hospital after contracting the new coronavirus, member of the Saudi Economic Association, Saad Al Thaqfaan, told Mubasher.
Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Company topped the fallers with 9.95%, whereas Salama Cooperative Insurance Company headed the gainers with 10%.
Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Company was the most actively traded stock on all levels after exchanging 89.70 million shares at SAR 843.606 million.
Almost all sectors were down, excluding utilities, which increased by 0.18%. In contrast, energy and materials slid by 1.83% and 1.54%, respectively.
