Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index rose by 1.26% to register 11,146 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.56% to 1,992 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 1.65% to 2,902 points, while the EGX50 EWI grew by 1.56% to 2,096 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 7.41 billion to close at EGP 628.230 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 48.46 million, while local and Arab investors were net purchasers with EGP 14.5 million and EGP 33.86 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.17 billion after 385.8 million shares were exchanged through about 46,770 transactions.
