EGX30 slides below 11,300 pts at Tuesday’s close
The market cap value dropped by EGP 5.7 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a negative note, pressured by foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index dropped by 0.93% to close at 11,291 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 1.69% to 1,972 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI declined by 1.63% to 2,899 points, while the EGX50 EWI retreated by 1.61% to 2,123 points.

The market cap value lost EGP 5.7 billion to register EGP 627.914 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 25.86 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 17.6 million and EGP 8.26 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.34 billion after 325.344 million shares were exchanged through about 38,460 transactions.
