Riyadh – Mubasher: The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk Foundation) will host, in partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the competitions of this year’s Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) on 18-20 October 2020.

The global competition aims to attract advanced technologies and the best talents to Saudi Arabia and empower and support Saudi startups, according to a statement.

Around 175,000 persons from 200 countries will attend the event.

The 2020 edition of EWC received 15,000 participation applications from Saudi entrepreneurs; of which 15 were chosen to pitch virtually in Saudi finals on 7 September. The panel picked six companies to participate in the global final.

Four KAUST startups secured wins at Saudi finals of EWC. All of them are among the 100 best startups worldwide.

The global winners will receive an impactful prize of $1 million in addition to a combined $75 million worth of in-kind support.

Moreover, they will get access to free of charge training, resources, connections, and mentorship programmes as well as investment opportunities and perks from EWC leading partners.
