EGX30 falls below 11,200 pts at Sunday’s close
The market cap value decreased by EGP 6.4 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a negative note, pressured by Arab and foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index slumped by 1.21% to end the session at 11,185 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI retreated by 1.62% to 1,951 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI declined by 1.62% to 2,869 points, while the EGX50 EWI slid by 1.51% to 2,105 points.

The market cap value decreased by EGP 6.4 billion to close at EGP 624.244 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 10.21 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with around EGP 968,080 and EGP 9.25 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 838.66 million after 257.62 million shares were exchanged through nearly 31,600 transactions.
