EGX ends Tuesday in red; market cap loses EGP 2bn
The market’s turnover stood at EGP 927.971 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a negative note, pressured by foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.12%, ending the mid-week session at 11,157 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI dropped by 0.6% to 1,942 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI retreated by 0.61% to 2,854 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI went down by 0.73% to 2,093 points.

The market cap lost EGP 2.07 billion to register EGP 621.829 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 64.97 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 44.47 million and EGP 20.49 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 927.971 million after 256.207 million shares were exchanged through around 33,310 transactions.
