Saudi Crown Prince delivers speech at Global AI Summit
The two-day summit kicked off on Wednesday under the theme of “AI for the Good of Humanity”.

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, said that the year 2020 was an exceptional year to test the potentials of artificial intelligence (AI), at a time when we witness the formation of a new international state that redefines our lifestyles, businesses, and learning.

Speaking at the opening of the kingdom's Global AI Summit, the Crown Prince noted, “We stressed, during the G20 Summit in Japan last year, the importance of AI, which became a key driver in shaping our present and future.”

The two-day summit, organised by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), kicked off on Wednesday under the theme of “AI for the Good of Humanity”. More than 200 experts and decision-makers will participate in the event.

“Here, I call upon all dreamers, creative people, investors, and opinion leaders to join the kingdom in realising ambitions and building a leading model to highlight the importance of data and AI in building knowledge economies and promoting our current and future generations,” he remarked.

He continued, “We aim to become a key hub for the world, the east and the west, embrace AI and together, harness its capabilities and kick-start its potentials for the good of humanity.”
