EGX ends Wednesday on negative note on local selloffs
The market cap value retreated by EGP 3.9 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a negative note with the benchmark EGX30 index sliding by 0.5% to 11,101 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX70 EWI dropped by 1.25% to 1,918 points, while the EGX100 EWI fell by 1.27% to 2,818 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI declined by 1.81% to close at 2,055 points.

The market cap value retreated by EGP 3.9 billion to stand at EGP 617.888 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 28.72 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 11.75 million and EGP 16.97 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.14 billion after 346.336 million shares were exchanged through 41,835 transactions.
