Riyadh – Mubasher: Three strategic agreements with IBM, Alibaba, and Huawei were signed on the second and final day of the Global AI Summit that is organised by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The two-day summit kicked off on Wednesday under the theme of “AI for the Good of Humanity”. More than 200 experts and decision-makers are expected to participate in the event.

An announcement about cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will be made today. Moreover, the winners of the artificial intelligence (AI) art hackathon (Artathon) competition and NEOM challenge will be announced as well.

Artathon, an initiative of the Global AI Summit, aims to find the first Picasso of data science. It is a competition which brings together artists and AI experts to create art using advanced AI tools, techniques, and methods.

The Global AI Summit comes in line with the kingdom’s efforts to realise its international leadership ambitions through establishing a data-and AI-based economy.
