UAE – Mubasher: The UAE’s stock exchanges closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note.
The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) benchmark index slid by 8.09 points 0.37% to close at 2,177.46 points.
A total of 91.37 million shares were traded at a turnover of AED 85.25 million through around 1,750 transactions.
Emaar Properties slid by 0.76%, while Dubai Islamic Bank dropped by 1.24%.
On the other hand, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose by 0.25% to 4,568.07 points on the back of rising bank stocks.
The market’s turnover amounted to AED 693.52million after 155.06 million shares were exchanged.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) climbed by 3.2%, while Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) and Aldar Properties advanced by 0.3% and 1.84%, respectively.
Likewise, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) rose by 0.54%, whereas Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) grew by 0.7%.
