Cairo – Mubasher: The Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) in Egypt has referred three international schools to the prosecutor for not complying with the decision no 1/155 for refunding 25% of bus fees paid for the academic year 2019/2020, the Head of CPA, Ahmed Samir Farag, announced.
Egypt Integrated Schools, New Capital English Schools, and British Columbia Canadian International School have been referred to the prosecutor, Farag said in a statement on Monday.
Earlier, the CPA issued a decision requiring schools to refund 25% of bus fees as students moved to online learning in March following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Non-compliant schools will be fined between EGP 20,000 and EGP 1 million.
