Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note amid higher turnover.

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.35%, ending the session at 10,991 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 0.33% to 1,997 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 0.4% to 2,923 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.49% to 2,125 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 3.1 billion to register EGP 630.334 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 25.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.45 million and EGP 23.85 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.45 billion after 365.87 million shares were exchanged through about 45,140 transactions.
