‘Young Author’ category has received 646 submissions

UAE - Mubasher: The Sheikh Zayed Book Award has listed 27 works from 11 Arab countries in the ‘Young Author’ and ‘Children’s Literature’ categories for its 15th edition in 2020-2021.

‘Young Author’ category has received 646 submissions, with 14 titles, including narrative and poetic works, academic dissertations, and critical studies placed in its longlists, according to a press release on Wednesday.

These works are written by young authors coming from nine Arab countries, comprising the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, and Palestine.

At the same time, 244 writers submitted their works to the ‘Children’s Literature’ category for the Award's 15th edition.

The longlist consists of 13 titles by authors from seven Arab Countries, comprising the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Tunisia, Syria, and Morocco.

Over the coming period, the Sheikh Zayed Book Award will further announce the longlists of its other categories.
