Egypt extends ban on sugar imports for three months
Egypt’s reserves of sugar are enough for seven months

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, issued a decree to extend the ban on imports of white and raw sugar for three months except under the approval of the Ministry of Supply and Ministry of Trade and Industry regarding import quantities.

The decision will be reviewed regularly, according to a statement on Thursday.

Earlier, the Minister of Supply, Ali El-Moselhy, said that Egypt’s reserves of sugar are enough to cover the country’s needs for seven months.
