Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a varied note amid foreign selloffs and local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index edged down by 0.08% to end the session at 11,015 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.32% to 2,088 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.27% to 3,038 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI added 0.12% to 2,216 points.

The market cap gained EGP 1.22 billion to register EGP 642.945 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 28.1 million, while local and Arab investors were buyers with EGP 8.7 million and EGP 19.4 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 1.37 billion after 386.5 million shares were exchanged trough around 41,510 transactions.
