Riyadh – Mubasher: More than 73,800 Saudi women have benefitted from the real estate loans granted by the Saudi Real Estate Development Fund (REDF) as part of its efforts to empower women to own the first home until the end of October 2020.

General Supervisor of REDF, Mansour bin Madi, said the empowerment of Saudi women to own homes has been a part of the fund’s policy since its inception as they are half of the society and the key pillar to advance the development wheel in the community, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The fund has worked to simplify and facilitate real estate financing procedures to enable all citizens to get subsidised loans through instant and electronic means, added Madi.

The fund’s initiatives aim to realise the objectives of the housing programme, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programmes, which works to raise the homeownership rate among Saudis to 60% by the end of 2020 and 70% in 2030.
