Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Customs collected EGP 4.485 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during November.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Alexandria port reached EGP 1.053 billion during the 11th month of 2020, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

Moreover, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods reached EGP 3.340 billion during the month, the statement showed.

The imported goods included spare parts, tobacco, cars, and production requirements.

Alexandria Port also exported goods worth EGP 4.167 billion, including fertilisers, marble, phosphates, ceramic, sugar, and clothing during November. Total charges imposed on the export of these goods reached EGP 634,000.
