Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a negative note with the benchmark EGX30 index falling by 0.92% to 10,585 points.
In the meantime, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI slid by 1.44% to 2,026 points, while the EGX50 EWI dropped by 1.22% to 2,121 points.
The market cap value shrank by EGP 5.49 billion to close at EGP 633.05 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 638.54 billion on Thursday.
A total of 433.66 million shares were traded at a turnover of EGP 807.6 million through around 32,740 transactions.
Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 8.21 million and about 401,940, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 8.61 million.
