Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, announced the launch of the first phase of the unified automated tax payment system for large and medium-sized companies and high-income self-employed taxpayers.

Maait inaugurated the taxpayers service centres “front offices” which provide businesses with a single online system for filing and paying taxes.

The unified automated tax payment system is implemented in four phases projected to be complete by the end of 2022.

The four phases include Greater Cairo, Alexandria and West Delta, East Delta, Canal, and Sinai, and finally Upper Egypt.
