Riyadh – Mubasher: Gulf leaders on Tuesday have inked the closing statement of the 41st GCC summit and Al ULA agreement.

The annual GCC summit kicked off today at Maraya Concert Hall in Saudi Arabia’s Al ULA city, with the presence of all member countries and Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry.

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud directed to call the 41st summit The Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah Summit in recognition of their outstanding efforts over decades in supporting the GCC Council’s path.

The summit is expected to see formal agreement towards ending a long-running dispute with Qatar that shattered Gulf unity at a time of heightened regional tensions with Iran, according to Reuters.
