UAE - Mubasher: The number of passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB) jumped by 38% to 2.19 million in December 2020, when compared to November.
On an annual basis, the number of passengers at DXB plunged by 72% in December 2020, compared to the same month in 2019, as shown by DXB's data.
In 2020, DXB recorded a 70% decline in the total number of passengers to 26.3 million, when compared to the earlier year.
Meanwhile, the flight movements rose by 11% to 18,000 last month, compared to November.
The total volume of air freight at DXB registered around 1.83 million tonnes in 2020, down from 2.4 million tonnes in 2019.
It is noteworthy to mention that in November, the number of passengers at the DXB increased by 8% month-on-month (MoM) to 1.6 million.
