Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note.
The main EGX30 index edged down by 0.16% to 11,446 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.01% to 2,277 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.66% to 3,274 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.32% to 2,330 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 3.5 billion to close at EGP 681.34 billion on Sunday from EGP 677.8 billion on Thursday.
A total of 533.51 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.36 billion through about 46,250 transactions.
Local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 15.14 million and EGP 11.6 million, respectively, while Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 26.744 million.
