RAK International Airport partners with Bahrain's Gulf Air
The agreement aims to add Ras Al Khaimah to Gulf Air's network

UAE - Mubasher: Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RAK International Airport) inks a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gulf Air, Bahrain's national carrier, to connect between the emirate and Bahrain.

The agreement aims to add Ras Al Khaimah to Gulf Air's network of destinations and explore potential services between Bahrain and the emirate, according to a press release on Tuesday.

In November 2020, RAK International Airport launched passenger services with Indian value carrier SpiceJet flying out of Delhi, with Mumbai, Lucknow, and Cochin added at the start of this year.

Commenting on the agreement, Gulf Air’s Acting CEO, Waleed Al Alawi, said: "We are extremely impressed with the facilities that RAK International Airport provides, which will serve the high standards our passengers expect from Gulf Air."

Meanwhile, the CEO of RAK International Airport, Sanjay Khanna, commented: "Gulf-state connectivity is a key tenet of our expansion strategy, and with its long history, commendable track record, and vast network, Gulf Air is an ideal partner for this mission."
