UAE stock markets maintain upward performance on Wednesday
The benchmark index of the DFM increased by 1.41%

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have maintained their upward performance by the end of Wednesday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased by 1.41% or 38.87 points to close Wednesday's session at 2,792.31 points.

A total of 476.60 million shares were exchanged through 6,168 transactions valued at AED 569.45 million.

The market cap value rose by about AED 4.36 billion to AED 369.36 billion, compared to AED 365 billion during the previous session.

Emirates Refreshments Co (ERC) led the rising stocks with 14.83%, while Mashreq Bank came on top of the losing stocks with 5%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by around 0.25% to settle at 5,676.15 points by the end of Wednesday's trading session.

Turnover amounted to AED 710.63 million after 229.96 million shares had been exchanged through 5,320 transactions.

The market cap value jumped by AED 6.78 billion to about AED 802.63 billion, compared to AED 795.85 billion during the previous session.

Aldar Properties headed the green zone with 8.11%, while Foodco National Foodstuff topped the red zone with 4.64%.
