UAE stock markets end Sunday's session on varied note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Sunday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.71% or 19.67 points to settle at 2,715.94 points by the end of Sunday's trading session.

A total of 200.58 million shares were traded through 3,241 transactions valued at AED 285.25 million.

The market cap value decreased by about AED 1.34 billion to AED 362.28 billion, compared to AED 363.62 billion during the previous session.

Chimera Capital led the losing stocks with 4.57%, while Emirates Refreshments Co (ERC) headed the rising stocks with 14.56%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up by around 0.03% to close Sunday's trading session at 5,613.16 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 367.17 million after 95.56 million shares had been exchanged through 2,747 transactions.

The market cap value rose by AED 1.25 billion to AED 792.21 billion, compared to AED 790.96 billion during the previous session.

Waha Capital led the green zone with 2.75%, while United Arab Bank (UAB) came on top of the red zone with 4.95%.
