Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, announced that Thursday, 28 January 2021, is a full-paid holiday for the private sector, in celebration of the 25 January Revolution Anniversary and National Police Day, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Sunday.
Private business owners can ask the employee to work on that day, but with a double payment, Saafan said.
In June, the government decided to move any midweek holiday to the following Thursday to give citizens a chance to have a long weekend.
