Riyadh – Mubasher: The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Sunday issued a royal decree to merge the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in one entity under the name “The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing”.

Completion of the required relevant regulatory procedures shall complete within a period of not more than three months, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Majed Alhogail was appointed as the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing. Alhogail said the merger will enhance development in the two sectors.

In the meantime, King Salman appointed Fahad Al-Mubarak as the new governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), succeeding Ahmed Alkholifey who became an advisor at the royal court.
