EGX ends Monday varied; market cap loses over EGP 1bn
The market's turnover reached EGP 1.64 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab purchases and foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index declined by 0.14% to 11,509 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.64% to 2,343 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 0.61% to 3,361 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.54% to 2,358 points.

The market cap value retreated by EGP 1.025 billion to close at EGP 688.577 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 60.09 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 10.3 million and EGP 49.77 million, respectively.

A total of 692.6 million shares were exchanged at a turnover EGP 1.64 billion through around 53,320 transactions.
