UAE - Mubasher: The total volume of exports and re-exports between Ajman and India reached AED 407 million during 2018-2020, according to a press release on Tuesday.
In 2018, Ajman recorded AED 144 million exports and re-exports with India, as shown by a report on the economic relations between the emirate and India.
Meanwhile, the total volume of exports between the emirate and India rose by 8% to AED 167 million in 2019.
Despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) economic repercussions in 2020, the volume of exports registered around AED 95 million.
Moreover, Ajman has granted 8,764 economic licenses to Indian investors, with commercial and professional licenses representing 58% and 35% of the existing licenses, respectively.
The General Manager to the Ajman Department of Economic Development (DED), Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hamrani, said: "The emirate's most important exports to India include petroleum oils, aluminium, fruits, salt, sulphur, plastics, and their manufactures."
