EGX gains EGP 1.6bn in market cap at Tuesday's close
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.7 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of Arab and local purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index inched up by 0.15% to end at 11,527 points after the heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) fell by 0.5% to EGP 62.8 after generating EGP 52.03 million in turnover.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 0.47% to 2,354 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 0.5% to 3,378 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.33% to 2,365 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 1.6 billion to close at EGP 690.203 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 38.42 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 36.14 million and EGP 2.28 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.7 billion after 634.2 million shares were exchanged through around 54,360 transactions.
