EGX ends Wednesday in green; market cap gains EGP 5.2bn
The market’s turnover reached EGP 1.76 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the green territory after the main EGX30 index rose by 0.45% to 11,578 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) increased by 0.43% to EGP 63.15 after generating EGP 55.62 million in turnover.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 0.4% to 2,364 points, while the EGX100 EWI grew by 0.36% to 3,390 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI added 0.5% to close at 2,377 points.                        

The market cap value grew by EGP 5.2 billion to register EGP 695.442 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with 47.23 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 4.01 million and EGP 43.22 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover reached EGP 1.76 billion after 617.09 million shares were exchanged through around 54,560 transactions.
