Riyadh – Mubasher: Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announced the scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance on the Polymers Plant of International Polymers Company (IPC) and the Ethyl Acetate plant (EA) of Sipchem Chemicals Company (SCC).

The maintenance will enhance the reliability and production of the two plants and allow them to achieve their future operational plans, Sipchem said in a bourse filing on Monday.

IPC and SCC are both affiliates to Sipchem.

The scheduled turnaround maintenance for the two plants will commence on 1 February 2021. The Polymers Plant will be suspended for six days while the Ethyl Acetate Plant will be halted for 16 days.

This turnaround is in line with the IPC and SCC 2021 business plans, Sipchem highlighted, adding that its financial impact will be disclosed once the activity is completed and will be reflected on the financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of 2021.

The necessary actions have been taken by Sipchem to limit the potential impact of the maintenance on the company’s customers, the statement concluded.
