Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Company (stc) headed all telecom companies in the GCC region in terms of sustainability as per the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
The company also ranked the second amongst all companies operating in Saudi Arabia, according to a press release on Sunday.
The rating captures STC’s commitment to adopt the best responsible and sustainable business practices as well as its aim to become a role model in this field and a partner in realising the kingdom’s sustainable development goals.
The company’s first sustainability report showcased significant figures during 2020 such as STC’s reduction of energy consumption and effective contribution to providing more than 3 million homes with the fibre–optic technology.
In addition, the report highlighted the rollout of some innovative digital solutions, including the launch of STC Pay, the region’s largest digital wallet, and the provision of 100% of the company’s services digitally.
