Riyadh – Mubasher: Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announced the safe completion of the scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance activities for the Ethyl Acetate Plant of its affiliate, Sipchem Chemical Company (SCC).

Startup activities for the Ethyl plant began on Monday, 15 February 2021. The maintenance works will enhance the plant’s efficiency, increase its reliability, and cut production costs, according to a bourse disclosure.

The material impact of this scheduled maintenance turnaround will reflect on the company’s financials for the first quarter (Q1) of 2021.

On 1 February, Sipchem suspended operations at the Ethyl plant for 16-day periodic turnaround maintenance.
