UAE - Mubasher: The banks operating in the UAE have injected around AED 72.2 billion in the overnight deposit accounts at the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) in 2020, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The UAE banks' investments in overnight deposits in 2020 have raised their cumulative balance by 285% to AED 97.5 billion by the end of December 2020, when compared to the same month in 2019.

It is noteworthy to mention that in July, the CBUAE launched an overnight deposit facility, enabling the conventional banks in the UAE to deposit their surplus liquidity at the central bank on an overnight basis.
