EGX ends Sunday in green; market cap up EGP 4.3bn
The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.24 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.4% to 11,425 points after the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged down by 0.07% to EGP 60.9 at a turnover of EGP 28.7 million.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 1.77% to 2,392 points, while the EGX100 EWI increased by 1.37% to 3,420 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI went up by 0.91% to 2,383 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 4.3 billion to close at EGP 701.479 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 23.88 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 14.007 million and EGP 9.87 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.24 billion after 653 million shares were exchanged through 42,970 transactions.
