Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will provide 20 million coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine doses in the coming days, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported late on Sunday, citing the Head of the Health Committee at the Parliament, Ashraf Hatem, as saying.
The Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, affirmed that the country would receive a new batch of COVID-19 vaccine doses within hours.
She added that Egypt entered into agreements to receive 100 million doses of vaccine in 2021.
Starting next week, Egyptians can register on the Ministry of Health's website to take the vaccine in vaccination centres located in 27 governorates in the country.
Late on Sunday, the ministry reported 608 new COVID-19 infections, taking the tally to 178,151, with 137,837 recoveries and 10,353 deaths.
