Foreign investors on Tadawul sell SAR 116.8m of stocks last week
Total sells of foreign investors reached SAR 3.13 billion, while buys hit SAR 3.02 billion.

Riyadh – Mubasher: Foreign investors on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shifted towards selling activity during the week ended on 18 February 2021, whereas Saudi investors leaned towards buying activity and GCC investors continued to register buys.

The net sells recorded by foreign investors amounted to SAR 116.83 million during the last week, whilst local and Gulf investors achieved net buys of SAR 91.32 million and SAR 25.5 million, respectively, as shown by official data.  

Meanwhile, the total sells of foreign investors reached SAR 3.13 billion, while buys hit SAR 3.02 billion.

As for local investors, buying and selling transactions amounted to SAR 62.92 billion and SAR 62.83 billion, respectively.

GCC investors generated SAR 378.47 million and SAR 352.96 million in total buys and sells, respectively.

At the same time, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched up by 0.9% weekly during the past week, adding 81.4 points and reaching the level of 9,024.23 points.

Furthermore, the value of shares owned by foreign investors on Tadawul rose by 0.38% or SAR 827.55 million ($220.7 million) on a weekly basis last week to SAR 217.62 billion.

The ownership represented 2.38% of issued shares and 13.04% of free shares.

Likewise, the value of shares owned by Saudi investors increased by SAR 54.169 billion to SAR 8.88 trillion, representing 97.11% of issued shares and 84.44% of free shares.

For Gulf investors, the ownership surged by SAR 779.1 million, standing at SAR 46.8 billion and representing 0.51% of issued shares and 2.52% of free shares.
