Egyptians can register for COVID-19 vaccine next Sunday
The Ministry of Health has allocated 40 vaccination centres in 27 governorates

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, announced the launch of a website where people can register for the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine on Sunday, 28 February.

People who register on the website will receive an SMS with details of the vaccination appointment, Zayed said in an online press conference on Tuesday.

They can also go to their nearest hospital to register for vaccination, she added.

The vaccination programme will start with people aged over 40 years old. 

Priority for the vaccination will be given to the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.

The Ministry of Health has allocated 40 vaccination centres in 27 governorates in the country.

Earlier on Tuesday, Egypt received a new shipment of the Sinopharm vaccine as a gift from China, including 300,000 doses.
