Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Eastern Co. showed a 17% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its net profits, logging EGP 2.95 billion in the first seven months of fiscal year 2020/2021, compared to EGP 2.52 billion.
Sales grew to EGP 37.7 billion in the seven-month period ended 31 January, compared to EGP 33.2 billion in the year-ago period, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Thursday.
In January, the tobacco manufacturer achieved net profits of EGP 412 million, up from EGP 304.6 million in the same month a year earlier, and sales amounting to EGP 5.2 billion.
During the first half (H1) of FY20/21, the company reported net profits of EGP 2.54 billion.
Revenues went up to EGP 8.16 billion in the July-December period of 2020 from EGP 7.69 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
