Riyadh – Mubasher: Non-oil exports of Saudi Arabia reached SAR 201.5 billion during the year 2020.
This represents a decline of 11% or SAR 25.4 billion when compared to 2019, according to data collected by Mubasher based on figures from the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).
The non-petroleum exports accounted for 30.65% of total exports.
Moreover, the Gulf country’s petroleum and non-petroleum exports plunged by 33% in 2020 to SAR 657.56 billion from SAR 981.38 billion in 2019.
In the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2020, the kingdom’s non-oil exports grew by more than 1% on a yearly basis, whereas decreased in the first three quarters of the year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Non-oil exports of the GCC nation reached SAR 57.89 billion in Q4-20, compared with SAR 57.28 billion in Q4-19.
When compared to the previous quarter, the non-oil exports were up by 8.4% or SAR 4.5 billion in Q4-20.
