Egypt imposes anti-dumping duty on tyre imports from China, India
The decision will be in effect for the next five years

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, issued a decision to impose anti-dumping duty on imports of tyres for buses and trucks from China and India.

The decision will be in effect for the next five years, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The rate of the duty imposed on imports from China ranges between 9.8% and 36.9% of the CIF value, while the rate of the duty imposed on imports from India ranges between 7.5% to 31.2% of the CIF value.

This move is part of the government’s efforts to protect the domestic production from damages caused by the dumping imports.
