Mubasher: Stock markets in the UAE closed Thursday’s trading session in decline, due to losses by blue-chip stocks.
The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) finished lower by 0.79% at 2,569.32 points.
Traded volumes amounted to 152.82 million shares with a turnover of AED 236.43 million.
Dubai Islamic Bank and Emaar were among the top declining stocks, losing 0.82% and 1.34%, respectively, while Emirates NBD closed lower by 2.20%.
Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also ended the last session of the week in red, as the Abu Dhabi General Index (ADI) lost 0.12% and closed at 5,692.75 points.
A total of 167.57 million shares were traded today in ADX, with a traded volume of AED 955.83 million.
Waha Capital declined by 4.92%, while ADNOC Distribution fell by 1.83%, ADIB and Aldar also decreased by 1.43% and 1.07%, while Etisalat settled lower by 0.98%.
