Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Customs collected EGP 2.856 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during February.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Suez port reached EGP 819.951 million during the second month of 2021, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.

Moreover, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods registered about EGP 2.003 billion during the month, the statement showed.

Additionally, the port exported goods that included food and agricultural products, sand, cosmetics, and poultry feed at a total value of EGP 5.886 billion. Charges collected for the exported goods reached EGP 4.723 million.
