Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Social Development Bank (SDB) has celebrated International Women's Day on Monday and emphasised that it pays particular attention to women. 

The bank said it has provided in excess of SAR 13 billion in loans to over 300,000 Saudi women. These figures achieved by the bank helped grew the number of beneficiaries by 400% over the past three years, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Moreover, it highlighted the role it plays in supporting Saudi women through its financial and nonfinancial programmes, services, and initiatives aimed at achieving its goals in social protection programmes and increasing women participation in the labour market. 

The bank’s efforts to support and empower women and invest their capabilities are in tandem with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the statement added.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
